Canoa is a backpacker haven, geared towards cheap to mid-range accommodation that doesn’t skimp on comfy beds and clean sheets (for the most part). Recently, a number of new places have gone up in town, giving most of the older places a run for their money in terms of quality, service and style. Like all places on the coast, Canoa overflows with people on weekends, so you’d be smart to make reservations early. Don’t expect to cruise into town on Saturday night and find a place to stay.
