A cozy little joint set back from the beach in a quiet section of town, Café Flor is a friendly, family run restaurant that also happens to serve up some of the best plates in town. Pizzas piping hot from the oven and heaped with toppings are a sure win, but the massive salads and spicy burritos aren’t a bad bet either. Small tables and chilled out music make the setting notably more intimate than places on the main strip. Whether you come for a romantic rendezvous or to split a meal and share some drinks with friends, you’re sure to leave Café Flor feeling satisfied. Owners used to have a restaurant in El Oriente called Chonta Café, but recently relocated to Canoa (probably for the same reasons so many travelers come here). Speak with the owners and you may be able to arrange Spanish lessons ($5.00/hour).

I ate here the other night, the food was great. I had a shrimp dish, with veggies, very good. The power went out, and they were still able to dish up a great meal, amazing. Plus it is in this really cute and cozy house. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Super customer service. Very friendly and owners take the time to chat with you. Excellent food. It is nice not to eat in a garage as well like many places in Ecuador.
