Getting There
Jama is an easy bus or taxi ride from Bahia/San Vicente...Xavier can also recommend several lodging options.

Travel Tips: Jama has an old cowboy-western feel to it; weathered wooden houses, smiling faces peering from upstairs windows, and cowboys riding through town all give the town its special flair. Don't come looking for discos and distractions.. Jama is where you stop chasing life and let life come to you.

Catch a 25-cent collective taxi to nearby Playa Matal, though remember not to wait too late in the day to catch a return taxi back to town!

Jama has a museum in progress, (artifacts are currently at the mayor's office). There's also a large soccer stadium...

Linger around for people watching on Sunday, when vendors crowd the square and peddle sundry objects...
