A lovely place to pass the time and soak up some Pacific views is Punta Prieta Guest House, located just off the road from Jama, between Pedernales and Canoa. Perched cliff-side overlooking the ocean, this place is as visually pleasing as the beds are comfortable, and salt air and fresh seafood are as ubiquitous as the seaside views. Owner Alonso Ordoñez welcomes guests with genuine warmth, and if you’re lucky he may even introduce you to the resident Galápagos tortoise and itinerant iguanas that roam the grounds. Those on a budget can ask about camping on the beach; for a small fee you can also use the showers and bathrooms. Cabins range from budget-friendly to slightly-more-of-a-splurge, but beach views are included in the price, as well as kitchens and refrigerators. To sample the local sea fare, head to the onsite restaurant where you can indulge in the catch of the day and enjoy the view. Reservations are recommended.

This is one of the most fantastic places I have visited. Especially if you are going for a honeymoon. We had an excellent time. I really recommend it.
