The kitesurfing on a beautiful beach near Manta called Santa Marianita (Playa Bonita) is worldclass, and the surrounding areas also have great surf. Manta Kitesurf is a great school based right on the wide, almost deserted beach. They offer surf and kitesurf courses and lessons for any level, equipment rental, surf tours and sell equipment too. There is one hostel/restaurant here, which is of a high standard, and right next to the kiteschool. A great spot!

Getting There
From the city of Manta, its twenty minutes or so south to the tiny town of Santa Marianita. The hostel and surf/kite school are before you get to the town, along the beach away from the road. There are micro buses from the manta market, or a taxi is $6. I

Price Description: Kitesurf: A beginners kitesurf course of 4 days (8-10 hours) is $280 all inclusive. 1 hour class is $40, equipment rental $30/hour.

Surf: Board rental $10/day. A 4 day course (10 hours) is $70. A 2 hour class is $15.
