A self-sufficient paradise tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood only 50 meters from Murciélago Beach, Balandria offers stylish and comfortable lodging perfect for families or large groups. The mock-cabin studios topped with green roofs and wooden balconies fronted by plenty of greenery and overlooking a peaceful garden and pool area, are tastefully constructed and mildly reminiscent of a luxury jungle lodge. You won’t find monkeys here though, just a friendly staff and smartly decorated bi-level suites. Continuing the classy theme, the hotel’s on-site restaurant cooks up a delightful range of dishes, served before peach-colored table cloths, sparkling wine glasses and precisely set cutlery. From the veranda, you can take in stunning sea views while you dine. The menu is extensive, crepes and beef stroganoff even make an appearance, and well priced for the surroundings. Restaurant daily 07:00-23:00, Entrees: $5-8.
