This large hotel facing the sea is, like most of the hotels in Tarqui, in need of a face-lift but still manages to offer clean and comfortable accommodation. Rooms are large and those streetside boast good views of the port. Faded, but clean sheets conceal older beds, which match the Victorian-style dresser drawers. Bathrooms are large and spotless, always a good sign. Air conditioned rooms are slightly nicer, with newer furniture and art on the walls. Las Caraconas, the attached restaurant lacks style but is clean, cool, and offers nicely set tables and good cheap food. Restaurant daily 07:15-10:00, 12:00-15:00, 19:00-22:00, Entrees: $2-5.
