Hotel Miami

Location:
Malecón de Tarqui and Calle 108
Manta City, Ecuador

Hotel

By Katie Tibbetts

Located at the far end of Tarqui’s Malecón, Hotel Miami is a popular spot for young Ecuadorians looking for a cheap place close to the beach. An aging yellow reception leads upstairs to drab, but clean rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV. The pool area could use a little love and attention, but still seems to be a popular retreat from the sun and surf out front. While not always pleasant on the eyes, Hotel Miami doesn’t hurt the wallet either. The attached restaurant is convenient and provides solid traditional set meals.
