This large sky-scraper looking building houses the swankiest hotel in Manta. Oozing style and with almost every service imaginable, including an on-site sushi restaurant, spa, and sports facilities, Hotel Oro Verde deserves every one of its five stars. A palatial reception fronts spacious modern rooms with private balconies overlooking the beach and pool area. The bathroom boasts a sliding glass shower door, and sparkling tiled floors, cleaned especially for those pedicured feet. For a bite to eat head to Murciélago Bar, a comfortable space offering exotic seafood and cocktails, or try Buena Vista coffee house and restaurant. The Gourmet Deli, a french bakery and ice cream parlour is good for something fast. Prices are steep, but not when you think about what such facilities might cost back home. Those who can’t afford to spend the night can fork out $7 and at least spend the day poolside. Oro Verde Fantasy Casinos, located next door, is a popular night spot for those looking to scratch their itch to gamble.
