The view itself would be worth its price in gold, but this Manta wonder also offers a unique setting so tranquil even the air seems more relaxed up here, leaving one with the feeling that time might be found just around the corner, relaxing in the bamboo bungalow. Graced with various art and artifacts from around the world (definitely check out the two life-size turquoise horses from Persia), Vistalmar is somewhat of a museum by the sea, as well as peaceful retreat. An architectural anomaly squeezed between holiday high rises, the delicate cabañas share the same ocean view as their lofty neighbors, but offer tasteful rooms designed with local materials and decorated with internationally flavorful art and a Southeast Asian flair.

The art and architecture, combined with the well-groomed garden and an infinity pool overlooking the sea, create a luxurious, but intimate setting in which to unwind. For this view and atmosphere, Cabañas Boutique is a steal, and worth the splurge. Note: When last visited there was talk of leveling the cabañas to make room for more high rises, cross your fingers someone talks the owner out of selling this gem.

This is a place for people who truly want to relax. This place is schedules to be demolished to make room for luxury apartment buildings. Go there before it's gone. It's worth every penny. Trendy People...please don't go there. I'd hate to see this place becoming the favorite spot for the "in" crowd.
