This lovely restaurant distinguishes itself from other Manta eateries, not just by location, but in style and service. While it may not boast beach views, Mediterraneo has bragging rights to the best Spanish and Ecuadorian influenced plates in town, which is no surprise considering owner Martin is from Barcelona, Spain. Meat from Texas is ordered from a specialty shop in town and then matured on site to ensure each meat dish explodes with flavor; try the Cordon Bleu, Chatubriou, or Filet Mignon.
The non-meat dishes are just as flavorful, but then again doesn’t everything taste a little better when its served by candlelight? For a romantic night out share a bottle of wine and the Tapas, a sure way to melt any heart. Open, airy and affordable, this is one of classiest, most colorful places to eat in town. Note: due to widening of the road, this restaurant may be moving soon, cross your fingers it stays in Manta.
