Tandayapa Bird Lodge

Great place!

All the lodging at Tandayapa & Milpe
was carefully designed to offer comfort to the traveler yet preserve
the environment and rainforest ambience. The cabanas were well concealed into the lush surroundings. They are
spaciously designed for double or triple occupancy, and have screened
in windows to guard against insects while you sleep. This has to be one
of the best experiences of my travels to date. Tandayapa is perched
high in the cloud forest, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The air
is clean and fresh and the walks are fabulous. The Botanical and
Birding tours were superb. As beginners , Dr George Cruz was patient
and kind .He walked closely with us to ensure that we understood the
highlights of the tours . He made everything interesting and connected
his lectures to what we know or understood, making everything an
extremely educational and fun experience.



Dr. Cruz was a walking encyclopedia of history,
culture, birding and botany.I have never been so impressed by the
knowledge base of a guide, as I was with him. I was amazed with the
variety of the cuisine! The meals were exquisite. I was tantalized
each day with a different meal, one meal was only surpassed by the next
and the next. I can not think of anything you can improve at this time.
My hope is that the service does not change as the franchise expends!!My only regret is we didn't stay longer. We lucked
out and were the only people staying there and had a hard time leaving.
We will be back!!!
