Just an hour from Quito on the Non-Mindo road, Verdecocha is a playground for birdwatchers and nature lovers located on a private reserve at the head of the “Paseo del Quinde” route. Verdecocha Expeditions- organized by a foundation of the same name- arranges horseback riding, mountain biking, llama trekking with roundtrip transport from Quito. Incredibly rich biodiversity surrounds trails that loop through waterfalls, thermal baths, prairies, and riverbeds.
