V!VA User‘s Description Hotels in Mindo have a wide range of quality and price. From a luxury eco lodge like El Monte (pictured on right) set in an isolated nature reserve, offering full meal service, naturalist guides, free tubing and cable car rides; to a budget room in the cheapest dive in Mindo, Flor del Valle, at $4 per person, Mindo has it all.
There are also several hotels just outside of town, which while charging more, will offer an even more remote setting and full-services.
The tourist season is from July - October and national holidays. However, because of Mindo's proximity to Quito, the entrance to town can be filled with stop-and-go traffic any weekend of the year, so its not a bad idea to make a reservation in advance.
