If you can't afford to stay at the hotel here (rooms range from $55-110 plus tax and service), it´s worth at least lunch or dinner. Located off the main access road to Mindo in the middle of acres of protected cloudforest, the open-air cafe is lovely. Spend some time walking off your meal on any of the paths around the lodge, playing on the jungle gym, or observing hummingbirds and other rare bird species from the garden.
