V!VA User‘s Description

Spread out along the Río Caoni, Kaony Lodge is a private ecological reserve hosting over 30 hectares of tropical forest and a variety of flora and fauna. Cabins are rustic, but cozy and comfortable, and constructed entirely from local materials in order to blend into the surroundings. Besides a chance for rest and relaxation, the Lodge offers ample opportunity to get out and about in the area. Excursions include swimming, horseback riding and nature walks. After a day of trekking (or lounging in the natural surroundings) make a splash in the nearby natural Jacuzzi. Also attached to the grounds is a first class restaurant, specializing in platos típicos like local trout and tilapia, as well as a number of international dishes spiced up by the house. Packages are available, call in advance to book.
