A fairly reliable choice, Hotel Zaracay is a pleasant hotel located on the road out of town, headed back towards Quito. The hotel has plenty of amenities for your enjoyment, including a pleasant swimming pool which comes in handy in the sweltering heat. There are also areas for playing football, basketball, tennis and volleyball. The hotel also boasts a little aviary and a popular casino. The hotel also has a good restaurant serving regional cuisine and a bar. To get there, head along the Quito road, and the hotel can be found approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center of town.

A recommendation to all smokers, do not run out of cigarettes, the hotel charges you a 100% mark up, plus taxes! The breakfast is not bad, yet if you have a profound dislike for eggs, then you're in in for dire straits. Other than eggs, two small pieces of bread and three pieces of fruit join your one cup of coffee. A second cup will be charged. Given the fact that you can reach the place quite easily is a major plus, the city center, if you really want to go there, is a bit far though. No traffic noise is a major plus! The next section does not really apply, it is good if you are in town for business, good facilities for the area.
