Ayangue Things to See and Do

follow us

Besides relaxing on the beach, Ayangue is a great place to go scuba diving. The nearby Islota del Pelado is known for its colorful coral and for a statue of Christ that is submerged underwater there. You can walk to Playa Rosada (Pink Beach), a beach located 3.5 kilometers (2.2 mi) away, which is named so because the sand is peppered with spondylus shells, making it look pinkish. You can also hire a taxi for $2 to take you to a lookout point called Mirador de San Pedro, which has pretty views. Ayangue is also a good place to try parapenting (paragliding), which is best experienced between 2 and 4 p.m., when the winds are especially good.
