Ayangue Restaurants

follow us

Dozens of comedores (small outdoor restaurants) line the beach, most with nearly identical menus centered around seafood. Ayangue is especially known for its cheap langosta (lobster), and you can enjoy a entire lobster on the beach for as little as $8, compared to the typical $20 price tag in many other restaurants along La Ruta de Spondylus. One recommended place is called "Comedor Panchita," whose warm local owner Panchita prepares some excellent ceviches, arroz marinero (seafood rice) and fried fish, in addition to grilled lobster and lobster in garlic lime sauce. Note, most of the restaurants close around 6 p.m., and after this time, food options are very limited, so plan accordingly.
