Hotel Oro Verde may be by far the nicest hotel in Machala, but it is the sort of place where you are paying for luxury, rooms start at $129 bucks a night. However, if your budget allows this sort of prices, and you want to have a relaxing couple of days, this is the perfect place to stay. The hotel’s décor is meant to be reminiscent of New Mexico, with adobe and bright colors. On site there is a coffee shop, two restaurants, a laundry room, a deli, a gym and Turkish baths and a whirlpool.
