Although Machala doesn’t have a major bus station, all the bus companies have their own small stations which are mostly located in the center of town. In general each company mainly goes to a certain area of town. To get to Guayaquil take either Rutas Orenas, located at 9 de Octubre and Tarqui, or Ecuatoriano Pullman, located at Colón and 9 de Octubre. To get to Quito take either Panamericana, located at Colón and Bolivar, or Occidental, located at Sucre and Olmedo. To get to other areas of Ecuador you may have to transfer in a major city, ask around to see if there is a bus going where you need to go.
