Located just a few blocks from both the Malecón 2000 and 9 de Octubre, Hotel Andaluz is an excellent deal for travelers who want to be in the middle of everything in downtown Guayaquil. The hotel provides all of the basic amenities: private bath with hot water, air conditioning, and a living room area with TV. One of the highlights is the garden-like roof terrace. Decoration is simple with an emphasis on Ecuadorian culture, beds are mattresses on top of cement frames, and the staff is fairly limited in their English proficiency. Rooms off the street may be best for those sensitive to noise, since the hotel is located in a rather busy area. No other hotel in this area of downtown Guayaquil is better priced.
