Located in a residential area on the outskirts of downtown, the Tangara Guest House offers a homey hostel atmosphere not easily found in Guayaquil. The communal kitchen and gardens make for a pleasant extended visit. At $35 for a single, rooms are not exactly budget, but with a travel buddy, $20 per person (or $15 per person in a triple) including breakfast is a good price for knowing that you´ll be taken care of by the staff. The guest house owners also run a tour agency.

If you requested an airport pick up, please look for someone with a sign with your name on it, when you go out of the baggae pick-up area in Guayaquil airport. If you you take a taxi from the airport, most drivers will know where the guest house is.
