Located in a residential area on the outskirts of downtown, the Tangara Guest House offers a homey hostel atmosphere not easily found in Guayaquil. If staying awhile, the communal kitchen and gardens make for a pleasant extended visit. At $35 for a single, rooms are not exactly budget, but with a travel buddy, $20 per person (or $15 per person in a triple) including breakfast is a good price for knowing that guests are taken care of by the staff. The guest house owners also run a tour operator, so they will be able to cater to all of your tourism needs.
