Convenient for a leisurely stroll to the Malecón, this upscale hotel is owned by the Oro Verde chain. Smack in the middle of the central commercial district, the hotel is spread across 2 towers accommodating 139 rooms, including wheelchair accessible and non-smoking room options. The hotel has several restaurants including the UniCafé, UniBar, the Uni Deli and the Sushi Bar, the latter of which has an all-you-can-eat promotion on Wednesdays. Rooms are comfortable, pleasant, well-serviced and include telephone, voicemail, cable TV, minibar, internet, hair dryer and safe. Airport transfers are available and there is a casino for those feeling lucky. There is also a small shopping center next door, where it is possible to buy film, or hit the Banco de Guayaquil ATM. This is a good option for families as on request the hotel can offer a baby-sitting service, and connecting rooms are also available.
