Traveler Reviews of Hotel Tsunami

Trash

Hostal Tsunami is full of bed bugs, and the owner is knowingly overcharging every night for the rooms. THe noise level is insane, but that has to be expected when the whole street turns into a party. When we complained of being covered in red welts, the people working told us it was mosquitos (under a mosquito net....) and refused to give us our money back.

Stayed 4 times so far

Love it.  I stay there all the time I am in Montanita. If you want to see street action this is the place to be! Prepare yourself it's not quiet during the night. You will always hear the commotion down the street. This is the street where everybody meets, screams, eats and shops. You'll be remembering it for the rest of your life. Been there many times and once you get there your'e stuck. You'll never want to leave...you'll be hooked....you'll see.

Staying in Hotel Tsunami

I stayed there for 2 nights. The owner was very kind and helpful. But this is not a quiet place. If you'd like to sleep at night, this is not your place because it's located on the main street. But I liked to relax in a hammock on the top floor. It was cheap even with private bath. And there was hot water too. I would recommend it to budget travellers.
