Set back from the busy Malecón in a quiet, but well-kept section of Salinas, Hotel Chipipe is one of the classier hotels in the area. A new addition to the area in the last eight months, the hotel has clean, modern facilities. Uniformed attendants scurry about the professional-looking reception area, collecting bags and directing new arrivals to their rooms, which are modern and bear all the amenities of a nicer hotel. Besides having pleasant rooms with air conditioning and modern private bathrooms, the hotel also offers a lovely pool area and first class restaurant, complete with fanned napkins and carefully arranged place settings. While not the classiest place in town, it maintains a warm, welcoming atmosphere that some of the larger places lack. Children between 6-11 years pay half price.
