There’s no shortage of pricey restaurants in Salinas, but this little culinary gem is worth its price in taste and style. The façade, made to look like a little slice of Italy, leads into a spacious seating area and well-appointed wooden tables. A large brick oven occupies the front, near a street side window, so patrons and potential customers alike can watch how the mouth-watering dough dishes are created. Specialties dishes include antipasto, Calamare Allarabiata, and Cannelloni Bella Italia—and of course, pizza. We should probably mention that the chef also suggests Pescado en Salsa de Marsicos ($5.50). Second floor seating also boasts excellent sea and street views, a good place to sip some wine and savor the gastronomical scene. Soccer fans should head here on game nights, when the restaurant fills with patrons proudly sporting their team’s colors and all eyes are on the big screen TV in front.
