Except for its Italian-looking sign out front, this place is pure Ecuadorian. Serving up a variety of traditional coastal fare, from fish and mariscos to meat and rice dishes and soup, La Ostra Nostra is a popular gastronomical hangout with a flair for anything fried or served with fish and a side of rice. Almost always packed, the restaurant has a busy fast-food buzz to it, but is a good bet if you’re up to trying some local cuisine, and don’t want to swallow the Malecón prices. Try the house special, Ostras al Limon.
