Wild West meets Argentine Gaucho at this meat-lovers dream located just off the Malecón. The restaurant’s catch phrase, “steak house and seefood old west-old navy” leaves a lot to the imagination, but is an appropriate introduction to this funky Salinas eatery. Dapper waiters dressed in cowboy hats and boots usher newcomers into an open-air adobe room lined with pine picnic tables sturdy enough to handle the heaps of meat and sides that accompany any meal. Dishes like Texas Burger and Cowboy California City are sure to melt the heart of any carnivore, though Chicken Grill Virginia State and Steak Sanwhich New York City would probably also do the job. For something a little less meaty, try the tapas and wine.
