Tsafiki (or Tsafiky - it is spelled one way on the brochure and another on the main sign) just opened in December of 2003 with big plans for future expansion and extended services. According to them, in a native Ecuadorian coastal language, Tsafiki means "the toungue of the real man" ... whatever that means.

Tsafiki does a good job of being fairly luxurious without sacrificing personality. No pets are allowed because they rescue parakeets, parrots and other birds from animal trafficking. Separate cabanas with terraces have fresh flowers, and hypo-allergenic mattresses, pillows and blankets.

The main lounge features great ocean views, a pool table, a book exchange in English and Spanish and outdoor restaurant seating. Along with offering tours to nearby hot spots like Isla de la Plata and whale-watching excursions, Tsafiki owns 17 horses and offers two different excursions on horseback for $25 per person.

Group discounts are offered for parties of more than 12. The discount for children is about half, $10 per child in low season and $15 in high season. The priciest category listed is for suites with space for larger groups. These rooms sleep up to six people and cost $105.

There is nothing compare to this paradise, the beach, the mountains, weather, and the excellent attention we received from the host, makes this place unique. now i can say that we still can find places you can spend a week with good service and excellent food. visit them you will not regret.
