The museum is located in the Jambeli Islands, and to get to this island you need to get a boat ride from the Puerto Bolivar part of El Oro province in Ecuador. Jambeli offers restaurants, cabins and places to stay and enjoy the beach and night life.
The exhibit is made of over 500 pieces on display, divided into mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, corals, algae, fishes, whale bones and sea fossils.
The majority of the collection was found in the Ecuadorian coastline and a 10% from other countries.
