Located on a quiet stretch of beach north of the town’s center, Hostería Mandála offers a convenient escape without having to venture far.  Guests can relax in private, individual cabanas surrounded by the grounds’ extensive tropical garden filled with exotic flowers, trees and plants.  Inspired by local culture, history and nature, the owners have decorated each cabana with unique artistic designs made of wood, bamboo and stone.  With each cabin equipped with fans, hot water, hammocks, private baths and porches, this place offers a real value for its money. 

The hotel's restaurant serves a variety of Ecuadorian and Italian dishes, and even makes its own fresh bread and ice cream from scratch.   Guests can form their own band in the community lounge, which has a variety of instruments from Esmeraldas, or duel one another with the 60+ free games available.  The friendly owners are happy to help organize tours and activities nearby, including snorkeling, whale-watching, and trips to Los Frailes and Isla de la Plata.
