Puerto Rico is still in its early stages of tourist development. Set about 10 km south of Puerto López along the Ruta del Sol between Salango and Las Tunas, Puerto Rico is very peaceful with a great stretch of beach that you very well may have all to yourself. The Alandaluz Hosteria and La Barquita are two excellent hotels that make a trip to Puerto Rico worthwhile.

Hosteria LaBarquita THE Place to visit
100%I just loved this place, very friendly, beautiful, relaxing, great nature, very lonely and beautiful beach, by the way the horseback riding was excellent and so were all the tours very well organized like the Isla de la Plata, los Frailes and so on... I really enjoyed the home made bread for breakfast and the food was very tasty and so are the cocktails on the deck of this awesome Galeon made of wood. The best spot I visited on the Coast
