Puerto Rico is still in its early stages of tourist development. Set about 10 km south of Puerto López along the Ruta del Sol between Salango and Las Tunas, Puerto Rico is very peaceful, with a great stretch of beach that you very well may have all to yourself. The Alandaluz Hosteria and La Barquita are two excellent hotels that make a trip to Puerto Rico worthwhile.
