Floreana Visitor Site: La Loberia/Sea Lions Area

About one kilometer away from Puerto Velasco Ibarra, the only town on Floreana, is a small beach which is home to a colony of sea lions, as well as some marine iguanas. It’s possible to walk there from the town for some recreational snorkeling. If you’re lucky, the sea lions will come out to join you! Extremely fortunate snorkelers may spot a ray or a shark. It’s also a popular spot for sea kayaking.

Here are some related tips to help plan your trip to Galápagos Island Visitor Sites: Punta Cormorant - Floreana Visitor Site, Champion Islet Visitor Site, Post Office Bay Visitor Site, Buccaneer Cove, More Isabela Visitor Sites, Puerto Egas Visitor Site, Punta Suarez and Gardner Bay/Tortuga Rock Visitor Site.
