In Arequipa and the Colca Canyon, there are an abundance of tours that the traveler can take.
It is possible to go on either Arequipa tours or Colca Canyon tours. Arequipa is a good place to pick up both. Arequipa offers city tours including a chance to visit some of the fascinating old colonical buildings. There are also adventure tours close to Arequipa to hike, climb, mountain-bike, whitewater raft or ride horses.
In the Colca Canyon, organized tours are also available for all of these types of activities, particularly for hiking. A couple of good hiking tours can be taken from the village of Cabanaconde. Tours can also be purchased in Arequipa or in the Colca Canyon for trips to La Cruz del Condor, most visitors' main reason for traveling to the canyon.
