he INABIF Children’s Home serves male orphans and also those from severely dysfunctional homes, some rescued from lives of petty crime and drug use. The goal of INABIF is to teach basic life skills, from personal hygiene to housekeeping and cooking, to learning interpersonal cooperation, and above all, self-discipline. Since few of the boys in the facility can leave the home, volunteers are needed to help prepare these children for the outside world, conversing with them, sharing experiences and demonstrating an interest in the boys’ lives. Volunteers also help prepare games and activities, as well as tutor English.
