The San Vincente de Paul program is run by three nuns who provide care and education to a group of 30 children whose parents work all day as street vendors, often earning no more than $50 a month. Volunteers are needed to assist the teachers, set-up games and physical exercises. An intermediate grasp of Spanish, at the very least, is essential, as well as a minimal four-week time commitment. Work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
