A large, creaky old backpackers pad, Colonial House Inn offers cheap rooms and a friendly atmosphere. Rooms, although threadbare in some cases, are clean and comfortable, and many boast the high-domed sillar ceilings of colonial Arequipa. There are two indoor patios, a small garden, and a rooftop terrace. Breakfast costs $2 extra. The staff is helpful and happy to give free tourist information.
