The three-star Hostal Maison Plaza is right on the Plaza de Armas and its terrace offers a great view of such. The rooms themselves are a combination of neo-classical and modern design, and are attractive and comfortable. The rooms start at $30 and go up depending on season and number of beds, and at this price, apart from the usual amenities, such as cable, telephone, fax, laundry service, and breakfast, they also offer free transportation to and from the Arequipa airport and local bus terminals. They also do their own city and camping tours, of which you can inquire at the desk.
