Hostel Casona Solar - Hotel Arequipa - Peru

Hostal Casona Solar offers the best of both worlds: the beauty of Arequipa’s white-stone, colonial architecture and modern bathrooms. Constructed in 1702, the building has high-arched roofs and large doors. As you would expect of any mansion, there are several garden courtyards and a fireplace. The hostel calls itself “a beautifully restored colonial gentleman’s house.” To make it more of an inn, the owners have added a bar/lunchroom. In the morning, you can sit down to a home-made breakfast of fresh juice, fruit salad and bread inside, or if it’s nice weather, you can eat your meal in the patio while basking in the sun.
