La Casona de Jerusalén Hospedaje - Hotel Arequipa - Peru

Hostal La Casona de Jerusalén offers the best of both worlds: the beauty of Arequipa’s white-stone, colonial architecture and modern bathrooms. Constructed in 1702, the building has high-arched roofs and large doors and calls itself “a beautifully restored colonial gentleman’s house.” As you would expect of any mansion, there are several garden courtyards and a fireplace. To make it more of an inn, the owners have added a bar/lunchroom. In the morning, you can sit down to a homemade breakfast of fresh juice, fruit salad and bread inside, or if it’s nice weather, you can eat your meal in the patio while basking in the sun. The hostel is located only three blocks from Plaza de Armas.
