V!VA User‘s Description

Among the restaurants in Arequipa, Tradición Arequipeña is one of the most highly recommended to foreigners by Arequipeños. Located a few kilometers outside of town in the district of Paucarpata, this restaurant has an elegant atmosphere with gardens and spectacular views of the snow-capped peak of El Misti. The menu includes such traditional Peruvian dishes as cuy, adobo, ceviche, and a variety of chupes, or seafood soups. In addition to the stunning views, the restaurant serves its heaping plates of Peruvian food with a side of live music, and on Saturdays at 5 p.m. an orchestra will accompany your meal. Open Sunday - Thursday, noon to 8:30 p.m., Friday, noon - midnight.

Traveler Reviews of Tradicón Arequipeña

It was really good!

Rating: 100%

last time I went there I remember eating 'queso helado' and it stayed with me, I believe is one of the best of those I've eaten. Along with the atmosphere, this restaurant is great.
