Affiliated with the Hotel Libertador chain, the Colca Lodge is located approximately six miles from Chivay’s town center. Constructed from stone and mud with thatched roofs, the rooms are solar heated. On the outdoor terrace, you can take in the spectactular scenery. Rooms have a private bathroom with heating and hot water. The hotel restaurant offers fairly pricey but tasty meals, and a buffet breakfast is included in the room price. To relax, there is a pleasant living room, a bar and a games room; however, the highlight of this place is the hot springs where water from local volcanic sources is channeled into pretty pools. For a fee, non-guests can visit these hotsprings as well.
