Getting to and away from Chivay
Finding your feet in Chivay is fairly straightforward, as buses arrive in the centrally located Plaza de Armas. From Arequipa, the trip takes four to five hours and costs around four dollars. The bus trip to Cabanaconde is between two to three hours. Tourist information is available at the Plaza.
