Less accessible but worth the visit, the upscale Colca Lodge has natural volcanic thermal springs, purposely designed to not interfer with the surrounding habitat. Some say these are the best hotsprings in the area, and possibly all of Peru. To get to Colca Lodge from the town of Chivay it is possible to rent a private car through the hotel, however a taxi will cost around $16.
