Colca Canyon Things to See and Do

follow us

Most people travel to the Colca Canyon looking to spot the majestic condor at the aptly named Cruz del Cóndor. However, this canyon has much more to offer: spectacular scenery, flora and fauna, colonial churches, indigenous culture and hot springs. Cañón del Colca’s prime activity is trekking from hamlet to hamlet, through the canyon’s breathtaking landscape, to oases, geysers, waterfalls and lagoons. Sports enthusiasts can also horseback ride, mountain bike, go whitewater rafting or climb the many volcanoes. Yanque and Chivay have museums.
