The communities of the Colca Canyon
The Colca Canyon, whose inhabitants have ancestral roots in the region going back 7000 years, is home to a number of small pueblos, including Chivay, Cabanaconde, Maca, Corporaque and Huambo. They all feature a historical churches and plazas that date at least to the 19th century.
