Helados Huscaran - Restaurant Carhuaz - Peru

For some reason, perhaps because of its warm climate during the day, or perhaps because the locals retain a stubborn affection for childhood, Carhuaz has an exceptionally high number of ice cream shops for such a small town. This is one of the better ones. The owner and longtime Carhuaz resident will fill you in on the local history and culture if you inquire. He is quite proud of his store, where he makes his own ice cream out of nothing more than fruit, milk and sugar, or in the case of the beer ice cream, beer, milk and sugar. The corn cookies are good, too.
